About The program
Young Leaders Run the City (YLRTC) is an exciting program created by My Part Community Advancement Organization. The program is raising funds and community awareness in support of kids in the economically distressed Cleveland Municipal School District.

The centerpiece of the YLRTC program is our participation in the 28th Annual Cleveland Marathon & 10K taking place May 22, 2005. A team of young professionals who are committed to improving the Cleveland community will raise money by running the challenging races. Additionally, My Part will sponsor a group of students from the Cleveland Municipal School District to participate in the Kids Run, focusing on health and fitness for children.

The YLRTC program intends to be a catalyst in the community’s efforts to ensure quality education and healthy lifestyles for its youth. Through partnerships with local and national corporate sponsors and media outlets, along with individual donations garnered through grass-roots efforts, the program is targeting a two-year fundraising goal of $100,000. Working with the School District, these proceeds will be used to establish the Cleveland Municipal School District Kids First Fund, which will provide assistance to district families striving to help their kids reach maximum education potential.
